The National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland (the National Board) was established in 2006 to provide advice, services and assistance in furtherance of the development of the safeguarding of children within the Roman Catholic Church on the island of Ireland; and to monitor compliance with legislation, policy and best practice and to report on these activities.
In order to assess compliance, Archbishop Michael Neary invited the National Board to undertake Reviews of Practice in 2011 and in 2021. The report of the of the 2011 Review can be found on the National Board’s website http://www.safeguarding.ie/publications
