Gathering of Primary school principals and priests of the Claremorris deanery

Archbishop Francis, priests, primary school principals, some DAs and members of the diocesan team gathered in Knock House Hotel on Tuesday, February 18th.

The aim of the meeting was to look at ways in which schools and parishes can work more closely together and how the Archdiocese can better support schools and principals in delivering a quality religious education in our schools. The meeting was organised by Mr John McDonagh, Director of Primary Catechetics in the Archdiocese of Tuam.

Ms Patricia Newman, Director of Primary Catechetics in the diocese of Killala attended the meeting. Members of the Diocesan Advisors on Primary catechetics were also present. Similar meetings in the other deaneries will be held in the coming months.
