Archbishop Francis Duffy is delighted to announce two new appointments to the Tuam Archdiocese.
Tomás Kenny has been appointed as Diocesan Advisor for Second-level Post Primary.
Tomás comes from Ballygar in east Galway. He studied Theology and English Literature at All Hallows College, Dublin and completed his Higher Diploma in Education at Trinity College. He worked as a Post-Primary teacher of Religious Education at Templeogue College C.S. Sp., Dublin and completed his Masters in Theology (Liturgical Music) at St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth. After completing his post-graduate studies, Tomás was appointed Post-Primary Diocesan Advisor for the Diocese of Kerry. He has worked in this position since 2014. He is delighted to be returning home to County Galway and greatly looks forward to working with the R.E. teachers in the schools throughout the Tuam Archdiocese.
Niamh Morris has been appointed as Diocesan Pastoral resource person.
A native of Craughwell, Co. Galway, Niamh studied Theology and Music in St. Patrick’s College Maynooth before going on to work with the Archdiocese of Dublin as a Parish Pastoral Worker. has over fifteen years’ experience as a Pastoral Worker with the Dublin Diocese. During her time in Parish, she co-ordinated the Sacramental Preparation programs, facilitated small faith groups, prepared and led prayer services and was the lead on projects such as Festivals of Faith and pilgrimages abroad. Niamh also spent a year working with Trócaire as their Church Outreach Officer and was involved in the preparation of Lenten resources and Activities. Areas of interest for Niamh include liturgy, especially liturgical music, and facilitating adult faith formation programs. Niamh completed a Masters in Applied Spirituality in 2022. She looks forward to meeting and working with the priests and people of the Tuam Archdiocese in her new role.
