Religious Education Conferences 2019
Re Conference, for Primary and Second-level School leaders, and parish clergy, were held in Claremorris on Tuesday, February 12th and in Clifden on Wednesday, February 13th. The title of the conference was How Do We Sing the Lord’s Song in a Strange Land?
The Conference was a resounding success, with presenters Ian Corbett from Killaloe Diocese and Margaret Farrell from Kildare and Leighlin outlining simple ways to promote the Catholic Ethos in our schools.
The well known Fr. Peter McVerry, S.J. spoke also on The God of the Law or The God of Compassion and as expected, those present were inspired by what he had to say. Approximately 120 delegated attended the Claremorris venue while 26 attended in The Station House in Clifden.
