A large number of pilgrims braved the elements on new years day to make the ascent to the summit of Croagh Patrick where Mass was celebrated at mid-day. Fr. Pat Farragher was main celebrant and he was assisted by Fr. Tommie Murphy, Superior General of the Columban Order who is at home on holidays from Hong Kong and also Fr. David Loftus of Los Angeles Archdiocese who is also at home for the holiday period.
