The Diocesan Safeguarding Children Policy will be launched at centres througout the diocese over the coming weeks.
The revised policy, printed in book form and compliant with civil legislation (Children First 1999) and church guidelines (Safeguarding Children 2009), is now policy for all parishes of the diocese.

It is the policy of the Diocese that all priests carrying out any pastoral ministry in the jurisdiction would present a valid and up to date celebret or letter of recommendation from his bishop / provincial / superior.
