Ordination to Diaconate

Congratulations to our new Deacon, Rev. Shane Sullivan who was ordained on Sunday, January 29th in St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth.  We look forward to the ordination to priesthood of Rev. Shane Sullivan and Rev. Eugene O’Boyle on Sunday, June 3rd in Tuam Cathedral, DV.

Congratulations to Rev. Shane Sullivan who was ordained deacon on Sunday, January 29th in St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth.  He is pictured with his mother, Kathleen and his Dad Bart who is a native of Cill Chiaráin in the Connemara Gaeltacht.

Annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes

The annual diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes is a great occasion that many people look forward to every Summer.  The Pilgrimage is led by Archbishop Michael Neary.  The Spiritual director is Fr. Austie Fergus and organiser is Ms. Sheila Davin.  Bookings are being taken for next year already.  All welcome!

World Youth Day Madrid 2011

30 Pilgrims from the Archdiocese had a wonderful time in Madrid in August 2011 on pilgrimage to World Youth Day.  Highlight of the event was Mass celebrated by Pope Benedict for over one million people.  Already plans are being made for the next Youth day in Rio de Janero in 2013.  Contact Fr. Eucharistic Congress Bell on Croagh Patrick

On Reek Sunday, July 31st, 2011 the Eucharistic Congress Bell was brought to the top of Croagh Patrick by a group of students from St. Gerald’s College, Castlebar in preparation for the International Eucharistic Congress in Dublin in 2012.
