The Archdiocese of Tuam looks forward to welcoming Archbishop Prendergast of Ottawa and Prof. James Conn, SJ from Rome for the Apostolic Visitation announced by the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI in May of this year. John Paul II Awards – Presentation

On Wednesday, October 20th, 2010 Gavin Duffy, Connacht and Irish Rugby Player will present the John Paul II awards to the many young participants from the diocese at an award ceremony in the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris at 8.00 pm. All are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served.

Mass was celebrated in the Basilica at Our Lady’s Shrine on Friday, June 19th, 2009, at 3.00 p.m. to coincide with the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart and also the beginning of the Year of the Priest recently announced by Pope Benedict.

Archbishop Celebrates Mass in Kilmeen/Ballydugan

On Sunday, May 13th the Archbishop visited Kilmeen, a small island parish of the Tuam Archdiocese in Clonfert. The Church of St. Jarlath’s were celebrating their 160th anniversary.
