Cong / Cross and the Neale Parish

Dawn Mass will take place on the shores of Lough Corrib at The Chalet in Cong at 6.30am on Easter Sunday Morning

Turas na Croise – Máméan (Stations of the Cross – Good Friday)
Beidh Turas na Croise ar Mháméan ag 3.00 i.n. ar Aoine an Chéasta.  Casfaidh Joe John Mac Con Iomaire Caoineadh na dTrí Muire.
The Traditional stations of the Cross will be celebrated on Máméan on Good Friday at 3.00 with the Caoineadh being sung in Sean-nós style.  Máméan is in the Maamturk Mountains.  The sign for it is on the right if you are coming from Maam Cross to Clifden, before coming to Recess.  It can also be approached from the Leenane or Maam side.

Passion Play at Ballintubber Abbey
Ballintubber Abbey celebrates the 26th Anniversary of the Passion Play.
For the past Twenty Five years those who have witnessed this moving drama have been stirred by the story as it is portrayed by the people of Ballintubber. Many have come back year after year to experience it and have brought others with them. If you have not seen it perhaps you would spare 1 hour on Monday 14th, Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th April at 9.00pm to witness this drama. As it takes place outdoors we would advise you to bring suitable clothing.

Mass for the Sick

Monday, April 14th : Mass for the sick and anointing – The Cathedral at 2.30 p.m. Refreshments afterwards in St. Jarlath’s College. Please contact Sharon at the Tuam Parish office at 093-24250 if you are bringing a group. This information is necessary for catering purposes.

Mass of Chrism

Spy Wednesday, April 16th: Mass of Chrism in the Cathedral at 6.00 p.m. Special guests on the day – Diamond Jubiliarians 1954 Colm Ó Ceannabháin, Joe Moloney, Golden Jubilarians 1964 – John Fallon, Padraic Audley and Silver Jubilarian 1989 – Peter Gannon. Rev. Sean Flynn, deacon who is to be ordained this Summer, DV will serve at the Mass. You are most welcome to a meal afterwards in St. Jarlath’s College.
